Terms of Use

By downloading and using Tempo, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them: they explain what the app does, what Tempo Pro covers, and the important limits — in particular the health disclaimer.

2. What Tempo does

Tempo is a digital wellbeing app. You choose yourself the apps you want to block; Tempo locks them using Apple’s Screen Time API. Each minute of real physical activity (read from Apple Health) credits you screen-time minutes, which you spend to temporarily unlock the chosen apps. iOS automatically re-locks them once the time is used up.

This is voluntary self-restriction, not parental control. The app works correctly only if you grant the Apple Health and Screen Time (Family Controls) permissions.

3. Health disclaimer

Tempo is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Activity measurements come from Apple Health and your devices; they may be inaccurate. Consult a healthcare professional before starting or changing any exercise program. You undertake any physical activity entirely at your own risk.

4. Free tier and Tempo Pro

Tempo is free to use: the full loop, every sport, 1 blocked app and 60 minutes of unlock per day. Tempo Pro unlocks unlimited apps, whole categories, configurable caps, widgets and the full log.

Subscription details (required — App Store)

• Title: Tempo Pro.
• Plans and lengths: monthly subscription (€9.99 / month); yearly subscription (€69.99 / year, with a 7-day free trial); “lifetime” purchase (€179.99, one-time payment, no renewal).
• Payment: the amount is charged to your Apple account upon purchase confirmation.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
• Management and cancellation: you can manage or turn off auto-renewal in your Apple account settings after purchase (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions).
• Free trial: any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you buy a subscription during that period, where applicable.

Displayed prices may vary by region and are subject to change; the current price is always shown in the app before any purchase.

5. Purchases and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We neither handle nor have access to your payment methods. Refund requests are handled by Apple: use reportaproblem.apple.com.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to circumvent, decompile or misuse the app, nor to use it in any way that breaks the law or the App Store rules.

7. Intellectual property

Tempo, its name, logo and interface are protected. No license is granted beyond the personal, non-exclusive right to use the app as defined by Apple’s license agreement.

8. No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is,” without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages, nor for any issue related to inaccurate health data, unexpected blocking or unlocking, or unavailability of the app.

9. Privacy

Your use of Tempo is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: Tempo collects no data, everything stays on your iPhone.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page indicates the last revision. By continuing to use the app, you accept the version in force.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
