By downloading and using Tempo, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them: they explain what the app does, what Tempo Pro covers, and the important limits — in particular the health disclaimer.

1. Publisher

2. What Tempo does

Tempo is a digital wellbeing app. You choose yourself the apps you want to block. Each minute of real physical activity, read from your health app, credits a screen-time balance shared by all the chosen apps: as long as it is positive they remain accessible, and using them consumes it. Once the balance is used up, the block comes back automatically.

The technical means differ by system:

• On iPhone — Apple’s Screen Time API (Family Controls) and Apple Health. iOS itself enforces the block.
• On Android — Health Connect for activity, usage access and display over other apps for blocking, enforced by Tempo through a foreground service.

This is voluntary self-restriction, not parental control. The app works correctly only if you grant the matching permissions; they are detailed in the Privacy Policy.

3. Health disclaimer

Tempo is not a medical device and provides no medical advice. Activity measurements come from Apple Health or Health Connect and your devices; they may be inaccurate. Consult a healthcare professional before starting or changing any exercise program. You undertake any physical activity entirely at your own risk.

4. Free tier and Tempo Pro

Tempo is free to use: the full loop, every sport, as many blocked apps as you want (categories included), the automatic weighting of every sport and up to 60 minutes of screen time per day. Tempo Pro unlocks strict mode (settings that tighten the rules apply right away, settings that loosen them take effect 24 hours later; on iPhone it can also block app deletion), the adjustable daily screen time cap, a fixed rate for each sport, your watch reading your intensity (on iPhone: when you push, a minute earns more than your sport’s rate, never less), the full log and its curve, the detail of your screen days, the weekly recap and widgets.

Subscription details

• Title: Tempo Pro.
• Plans and lengths: monthly subscription ($3.99 / month); yearly subscription ($29.99 / year, with a 7-day free trial); “lifetime” purchase ($69.99, one-time payment, no renewal). US pricing shown; prices vary by App Store or Google Play country (for example €4.99 / month, €34.99 / year and €79.99 lifetime in France).
• Payment: the amount is charged to your Apple or Google account upon purchase confirmation.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
• Management and cancellation: after purchase, you can manage or turn off auto-renewal in your account settings — Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on iPhone, Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.
• Free trial: any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you buy a subscription during that period, where applicable.

Displayed prices may vary by region and are subject to change; the current price is always shown in the app before any purchase.

5. Purchases and refunds

All purchases are processed by the store your app came from. We neither handle nor have access to your payment methods, and refund requests are handled by that store:

• App Store — reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Google Play — Google Play refund request.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to circumvent, decompile or misuse the app, nor to use it in any way that breaks the law or the App Store or Google Play rules.

7. Intellectual property

Tempo, its name, logo and interface are protected. No license is granted beyond the personal, non-exclusive right to use the app as defined by the license agreement of the store your download came from.

8. No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is,” without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for indirect damages, nor for any issue related to inaccurate health data, unexpected blocking or unlocking, or unavailability of the app.

9. Privacy

Your use of Tempo is governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: Tempo collects no data, everything stays on your device.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page indicates the last revision. By continuing to use the app, you accept the version in force.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
